You meet in a school?
Yes, because we affirm that the church is not about a building (we don't even have one yet); it’s about a community of people. We meet in a school because we want to be a church in the community, for the community.

What will the services be like?
You might think that our approach is a bit unique. We value relevance in all that we do. So, we try to utilize every means available to communicate the message of the day. This means we incorporate multimedia and video, drama, contemporary music, as well as messages that are geared toward life-change.

What should I wear?
At Hillside the dress code is casual. Whatever dress you find comfortable is what you should wear.

I have kids. Will Hillside offer something for them?
Hillside is located in a part of Calgary that is experiencing rapid growth through young families. We really want to be a positive and encouraging force for families. So, we place a high priority in great stuff for Kids in our KidZone. We commit ourselves to providing a safe and fun environment for your children, striving to creatively communicate God's message of love in an interesting way.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?
Short answer: No! Our aim at Hillside is to create a non-threatening environment where everyone can come and find out more about God.

Is Hillside affiliated with a denomination?
Yes. We are part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). The CRCNA is a biblically based, growing denomination spanning North America. You can find out more about the denomination by checking out www.crcna.org.

You should know that the best way to learn about Hillside is in person. Why not come and check us out! And the best way to come to know God is in relationships, as we worship, serve, and grow together.

What if I have questions?
We love questions! We may not always have the answer, but Hillside is a place that welcomes not only questions, but challenges to Christianity. If you want to ask the question, we will always sit down, talk together and see what we can learn from each other.

Who will be there?
Anyone who is interested in finding out answers to questions about God and a life with Him is welcome. We also want to welcome and encourage people that have begun a life with God and are looking for a place to grow that is not like the average church. Most of us are young. A lot of us have kids. But all of us are learning and growing in a relationship with God.
